Just a quick update to let you all know how we've been.... We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's in Preston. It was the first time we had been to Preston since moving back to the Northwest and it was so great to see everyone. There was a ton of snow - at least 18 inches - and we were able to go sledding one afternoon. Zeb had forgotten that sledding actually takes some effort hiking back up the hill. Bryson loves the snow, and wanted to play it in every day. He had a great time sledding until he got cold. He was very excited to build a snowman that was bigger than his daddy!
We came back to Vancouver just in time for school to start. Zeb and I have been busy with classes and lots and lots of homework. We're both working on accounting degrees and hope to be transferring to Washington State University at the end of the year.
It snowed again here in Vancouver since we've been back. Bryson saw the snow and got his coat and snow boots and went outside to play in the snow without even telling us. We went out to make sure he was sufficiently bundled and let him know that he needs to tell us before leaving the house. When he was done he came in and put his snow clothes by the heater and asked for hot chocolate.
I was able to spend last weekend in Austin and had a wonderful time. It was really great to be able to spend time with my Texas friends who I love and miss. And I got to enjoy delicious TexMex and BBQ... Two of the best things about Texas. Zeb and Bryson took a weekend trip to Preston while I was gone an had a nice time with his family. Its great to be so much closer to family again.
Click here for new pictures from our Christmas adventures in the Photo Gallery. Our camera got a break in January because we didn't really have any pictures since Christmas. There are also a couple videos below.
We hope all is well with everyone and that 2009 will be a year filled with joy and happiness for all.
