First off I would like to point out that in addition to the (obviously very special) Will and Tasha making an appearance on the Petterborg Plantation on January 1 & 2, Denise, Bryson and I (50% more persons than them) will be driving 6.9 times as many miles through the "Arctic Blast of '08" to make our own grand appearance. We will be there Christmas Eve through New Year's Eve (4 times as long). You may not have known this as our appearance apparantly is not as newsworthy as that of Will and Tasha.
Speaking of the "Arctic Blast of '08" I should tell you that it is a doozy. Not for me, but for people from here. This "Arctic Blast of '08" is not as weak as Winter Blast of '04. At first I thought it was. Day one yielded no snow here in Vancouver, but it was reported on the news that across the river Portland was shut down due to the weather. No church, no school. Looked weak to me. But then the snow came and kept coming. As the snow began to taper off Monday, it was approaching 13-inch depths. Now keep in mind that the City of Preston probably has more snowplows than can be found in the entire Portland metro area. Also keep in mind that 2 inches of snow shuts the area down. We are now in the 10th day and all these people who have no clue how to drive in the snow have been out and about stomping on their gas pedals wondering why they get nowhere.
Bryson and I built a snowman the first day we had snow. It wasn't much snow at first, so we had to roll every last bit of snow in the yard in order to get enough. You can see in the picture that once our snowman was erected, there was no snow left. Bryson wanted to have a snowball fight, so I played along for a bit. After I got sick of getting hit with snowballs, I told Bryson to have a snowball fight with the snowman.
Last Saturday night Bryson was staying with his Grandma Minzghor. Denise and I were sitting at home, starting to get bored. At 9:30 I went out to the garage to see what we could use to play in the snow. I thought we could sled around on a rubbermaid bin lid, but then I saw something better. Bryson's old crib mattress was sitting there begging to go for a ride down the street. Since we didn't have rope I grabbed a TV Cable and soon Denise and I were having loads of fun pulling each other down the street and wrestling in the snow.

Merry Christmas to All!
